how much for differencial install?

okay, say i buy a 12bolt rearend with 3.73's already in it. how much would it cost to install an eaton posi unit? i think ima gonna buy from the gearsareus guy on ebay for $329.

how much would labor generally cost me?

That's a pretty good price.
Not going to tackle the install yourself? Might as well go for an install kit and get new bearings so that would add $100 to the labor.

The pinion doesn't need to come out, so this is job that really anybody could do. The only trick is making sure there is enough carrier bearing pre-load. The backlash is fairly simple to obtain with a cheap-o dial indicator.
