A little solis in my voltage problem...

Well, lately, when I went to start my truck, the starter would turn over REALLY slow. Battery even died once. So, I put it on the charger overnight. Well, here a week later, my battery is dead once again. So, figgering I was going to have to rewire my truck, because it had a slow drain. I pulled the battery out, and went down to have it tested. Must be my lucky day, because it was my BATTERY that was bad. The battery is JUST about to turn 3 years old, so LUCKILY, it's BARELY still under warranty (Diehard Gold). So, later today I'll put in the new battery, and HOPEFULLY all my voltage problems will be solved.
Let's see, that makes it finally a completely new electrical system. (Alternator, Starter and NOW battery) It could have possibly been my battery all along....I'll know in a few days, that's for sure!

My tach is wired the same way that Swervin's is.
12v+(Constant) = Ignition Switch
Ground = Parking Brake Bracket
12v+(Switched; for light) = Dimmer switch wire

I'm HOPING I didn't kill the Alternator. It's BRAND NEW. If I did, it's warrantied, and I'll just take it back and plop another one on there.

im gonna replace my battery this weekend or shortly after. I got my battery tray and hanger in from Chevy Duty couple weeks ago, but the stainless steel clamp has been backordered. its shipping out this week so i'll get it either friday or first thing next week. I need one badly; sitting at a stoplight with turn signal and headlight on, and the radio, the volts drop off till i rev it. Guess an ancient battery will do that...

Just bought my Blazer a week ago, same issue.

Battery dropped dead yesterday, and it was new in April. Replaced it with an optima only to find the Alternator wasn't working right. Put a new one on and got the volts back up.

Hope like you that's all there is to the issue.
