Custom dashes (pic request)

Hi everyone. How many here have departed from what your 73-87 was born with and grafted in a newer dash or made one from scratch? I am wondering whether it would be worth it to find a newer, say Tahoe or Sub dash, the kind with the stereo in the center, for my 81. I would have to really brush up my skills to do a ground up one though. Thanks in advance!

You would have to have alot of time money and skill to do one of those. They do look pretty good but its hard to tell from pictures.
