bebuilt never run 400 sbc heads F/S

I bought these heads for my son, then was going to put them on a 400 I plan on putting in my 79 p/u..but need the money rather than wait until I am ready for them late next year.

Couldn't find the spec sheet but my son will be home tomorrow and I can get more info from him. They are 76 CC, magnafluxed, 2.02 and 1.94 stainless valves, new seats and seals, and I think they were milled .010. One has the steam port holes the other does not, I understand that they can be drilled with little problem, also know of people who say you can put them on a 350, I don't know.

I bought these on ebay, had delivery problems, bought another set locally for my son and then these came in giving me the extras. Because I wanted to make sure they are OK, I paid a local mechanic that I trust implicitly to break them down and check them out to make sure I didn't stiff anyone...he says they are good to go so my reputation is riding on his and he has a good one!

I am asking $399 for both shipped to your door in the continental US.

casting number is 333882 on both, although one looks more like 888882, any other numbers you want I can get tomorrow. thanks

you sure about those valve sizes, 1.94 would be a hell of an exhaust valve

no, I am not sure; they may be 1.84s; I wouldn't know how to recognize the size by sight; still looking for the spec sheet so I can quote from it; there were a lot of other features that I can't remember - something about special seats, number of surfaces, etc. If any one can give me the diameter across the face I can tell you; or in an hour or two I will go out and measure the diameters and post them below. thanks for pointing that out. bob

I'm sure he meant 1.60 which is the common one to use with the 2.02 intakes. A 1.94 exhaust would be into the intake port :-) .
These are common 882 heads and are decent casting for late models ones.
drilling the heads is not a big deal . I have a template for the angle. after that they can be used on a 350 with 350 head gaskets. DAVE

CORRECTION ON VALVE SIZE: My son came in this afternoon and said they were 1.94 and 1.50's....the 2.02 that I had in my mind was what we bought locally when the delivery of these was delayed. Pulled two valves and mic'ed them to make sure, the valve stem next to the keepers were marked p 1590+15 for whatever that means to any one. He also said they could be run on a 350 as is, you would only need to drill the steam ports on the one head if you wanted to go on a 400 small block.

They look like the heavy cast 882s. I have a set of them laying in the garage now that I removed when I got after-market heads.
