after market tach

I have a Auto Gage tach I know they are cheap. It makes a ticking sound at around 3,000 rpms under hard acceleretion is there anything I can do other than buy a good one?

if you really want a good and cheap tach go buy a sun, had mine for 15 years now in all kinds of rides and it still works great! if yours is ticking better go get the bomb squad
