I've had a lot of mail about the 'tub rotator'.

One of the questions was 'will it work with a chain in place of the two hoists?'

The answer is yes. Rusty chain at that. You will have to lift, check for balance, adjust, and relift. But after you have it, works every time. Word to the wise -- put a zip tie in the link your using or mark it in some other way so you don't have to figure it out again should you need to disconnect the crane.

Tried to check it but it said web site not responding. Did you have to extend the legs to balance the wieght of the tub?

Sorry the site didn't work. Only seen that problem with AOL. If your using AOL I have no help for you. If not, you might try back another time.

To answer your question, No. There are no modifications to the crane whatsoever.

Probably is aol but i did get your pics off another thred. Looks good so far and very familliar. I've been at it a couple years only have the frame done so far.I just found new aftermarket rocker boxes. That had been holding me up for a while. Now I was considering your plan to install them.

You may want to consider more braceing before lifting. The inner boxes are the a huge part of the strenght of the tub/bed unit. With out them, your Blazer may look like a taco if you try lifting it.

Tim says ' you may need to run a piece of 2 inch, thick wall, square tube from the rear seat bolts to the frount seat bolts (same place the chain is attached now) to stiffen up the body if you lift it without the inner boxes in place. You'd need to weld up some angle iron and spaces on the ends where they bolt in place because of the 'step' from the bed to the floor boards. Then, attach the chain to this tubing.
