scored big time on parts today!
okay the first score is because another member who is a friend of mine hooked me up. a friend of his truck burnt up so he was parting it out. it was a burb on 44's. so he has a d60 front, 14bolt FF rear, selling both axles and the 44's and wheels for $400 . hehe. i'm just going to use the rear cause i'm not hardcore enough yet to need a d60 front so i'm splitting the 400 with a friend and he is getting the d60 for his k5 thats on 40" MTR's.
we also hit the junk yards today and drove 20 miles south to a yard we hadn't been to before and i struck gold there too. i got a fan shroud and radiator mount for $10 bucks total. the radiator in the '80 4x4 was being held in with bailing wire, lol. and he has a perfect 73-80 passenger front fender that i'm going back to get and he only wants $35 for it and a tail gate off an '81 that is completely straight inside and out except for one small ding and he wants $25 for it. i got a 454 grille emblem and going to get a 350 grille emblem when i go back. one of the trucks had the keys in it and i don't have a key to my doors on the '80 so i'm getting the door key and lock cylinders out of that truck. so i made out pretty good taday. just gotta go back on my next day off and get that fender and tail gate

I would just buy the lock cylinders new. I got a new tumbler and two door lock cylinders, all keyed alike, from Chevyduty for a little under $25.
