Theres a hole behind the glove box that sits in the corner. stick your head in there and look towards the antenna. I don't really know if there was an actual whole in the design for it or some guy in the factory with a drill. I have seen them in different widths away from that corner, but in that general area. The hole is just enough to get the end through

This is on a 72 Blazer--there is a hole on driver side removable cowl the size of the ones on pickups and a hole (3/8") on pass side. Here is the catch--no hole in cab cowl to inside!

Thanks Gee Emm. If they came from factory with no radio would the hole still be there? This one has no hole.

If they did not have a radio, then the hole was not drilled. The hole is a nominal 5/8" to fit the factory grommet that is on the antenna wire.
When installing them sealing arond the grommet is recommended as they are a leak source. Jim |

I don't believe my 69 had come with a radio but the hole was there just like any other truck. I think it is one of those whimsical factory things.

Gee Em,
There are plenty of those! The trucks that I have seen without the hole don't have the speaker bracket holes drilled either. Could be a year thing or assembly practice. Jim |
