Well I got the lift on my burb this weekend. I put a 6 inch on it along with the 3/4 ton axles that I rebuilt with disc brakes all around. The only thing I need to do is get a steering stablizer and get the sway bar hooked up. The tires are 33 inches for now, they were just the only 8 lug wheels I had and I am planning on going with at least 36-38 inch this spring.

Are all those blockes under your leafs safe? I'm not picking on you, just asking. It seams like it could fold right over with any force. It looks good though.

looks great man. i'll be doing a similar swap in the next couple weeks.

couple questions, first where did you get those jackstands? those things are sweet. and also, on the rear breaklines did you find a bracket to secure the other end of the rubber line to the axle and then weld it on the axle tube? i'm looking for a little bracket like i have seen others use but i dont' know what to get it off of

No that is definataly not safe. Witha little axlewrap, you'll spit those right out. I would suggest looking into a shackle flip for the rear and only running the 2"blocks.

Iv'e been running mine with 4" blocks in the rear and no trouble at all.

Randy if you will notice he has 2...2" blocks.. other than that... looks sweet..

So would a shackle kit raise the rear? Wouldnt it be better than blocks? Ive never really messed with any of these things yet.

yes a shackle flip can raise the rear about 4", ORD offers 2.5" and 4" lift brackets.. and yes it is much better than blocks..you can use your stock springs (unless you want more than 4" lift) so you can keep a softer ride and some flex...

There are not 2 2" blocks in there. They are 1 4" block. The pic just makes it look that way. I would never stack blocks up to get more lift. I have had 4" blocks in my truck for almost 2 years now and never had a problem yet. I will be looking into a shackle flip in the future.

Nothing wrong with blocks. I ran them for a few years also with no problems. It just looks like they were stacked. And that would be

The shackle flip is more expensive but a better alternative then the blocks. You won't get the axle wrap as you would with the blocks.

Project looks good.
