I bought one from a local parts supply house without a problem. Near half the price of the dealer.

They are pretty easy to find. By the way, I love that movie you have on your avatar.

I looked there but I wanted to get one before next weekend. I'm going to drive the truck down to Pomona and would love to be able to use both tanks.

TrainD5115: it is one of my favs as well.

Try your local NAPA store. I have seen them on the replacement parts rack in a local NAPA store here in Beaverton. They may have them too in your location.

There are several on ebay right now. put in fuel tank switch.
Also, LMC, Chevy duty, and probably other places. Around $8-10. Call NAPA or other parts stores.

I think it is a company called Motormite that makes them. Motormite also has different names such as HELP or NEEDA. Most places that carry any of these brands should have the catolog with all the products. They make the power lock and window switches also.

The switch from GM isn't very expensive. The last one I bought was around $10.
Here are some GM part numbers and list prices:

81-86 15591149 12.16
87(TBI) 15599081 15.88

If you're dealer is charging more than list, go find another dealer, or order online from GM parts direct.
