83 Silverado Truck Cab

I need to get rid of this truck cab. It is a AC cab silverado originally. Cab is pretty stripped down bare. HAS good power windows, door locks, and was a Auto tranny. Doors are in good shape with no rust as is the rest of the cab. NO RUST. $500 firm. Cab is in LOUISVILLE KY. CAb also has a good KY title. PM me with interest.

Cant you just cut the hole in the floor for the t-case shifter? I dont think there is any other difference

I think the hump is bigger in the 4x4.

It is but all you have to do is put in a body lift and it will clear. I know a 3 inch works, the truck that this was done to it looked like it may have still cleared the transfer with just a 2 inch.

I used a 4x2 cab on my 4x4. A 2" body lift worked just fine. Just cut the hump out and bolt down a tunnel cover from a 4x4 cab.

Talking Cut It out

The question is are you going to lift the body. If you are, and are right about the tunnel being higher on a 4x then the 2x cab it might be less work to cut the right size hole then opening the factory floor to allow the shifter room to move in the stock opening. Two of the 4x's I have that have a body lift (more then 4") I have had to increase the the opening so that the truck stays in 4x when it get's twisted on the rocks. Just a thought. Louis

I would consider it but starting 3-6-5 Im starting on building my electric truck I just sold the engine out of it and now its time to drop the electric mootor in it and laugh at you all paying those high gas prices plus once I get the 1st phase of his project done I will be doing more to it and should get 200 miles per charge I am useing a small S10 not a full size for that project and it is going to take top priority over everything else I have been working on
