'87 GMC parting out

Parting out an '87 GMC High Sierra. The doghouse is in fantastic shape except for three small rust holes on the inside of the passenger side front fender. Outer fenders are in great shape with no rust. New inner fenders. Grille is like new. Everything complete, including jack, and window washer jug, radiator. $400.00 and you pick up. Cab complete with a great interior, red in color. Cab corners and rockers are gone. Doors are in great shape with no rust, door panels have some fade on top, new carpet, dash pad cracked, tilt wheel, and new seat. Truck is original air conditioning. $350.00 and you pick up. The frame of the truck is shot. Rusted in half. Third member is a 10 bolt and I believe a 3:73 but not for sure. Can check for sure if any interest is shown. Front end has had some work done as far as ball joints, etc. in the last couple of years. The bed of the truck has been sold. The truck was a wideside shortbed. All glass is good. Front bumper is good with no dents but not show quality. Rear bumper has rust and is an aftermarket. I really don't want to part out piece by piece as my interest was not in the truck originally but I bought it for the engine. I will not ship parts. If someone else wants to buy it and do that, then that is fine. I can send pics on request if you send me your e-mail.

Hopefully these pics will come thru. If I can get rid of it this week, I will let what you see, go for $500. The wiring harness and the computer is gone. And I am keeping the wheels and tires. As I stated before the doghouse is in great shape. A couple of hail dents and scratches in the hood. Fairly new redo on the seat. Doors are in great shape. Door panels have a little fade. New carpet. Has had some work done on the front end in the last couple of years. Rear is a 10 bolt. Both tanks have been pulled and the driver side tank has a new sending unit (worth a little bit in itself) I was going to keep the sending unit but will let it go with the truck. The frame IS TOAST. It needs new rockers and cab corners. It has about one chance to get on and off of a trailer as the frame is split right behind the tanks. Front bumper is in good shape. Back bumper is rusted aftermarket. Both inner fenders are new. Flowmaster 3" single exhaust a little over a year old with hardly any miles on it. Again...I really don't want to part out as I need my garage space pretty quickly. $500 firm for everything. I can take pics of anything else you need to see.

I'll post some more pics in a minute.

I only bought it for the engine and tranny. Once I saw the complete truck I decided to get the complete thing and seperate it. It also bought me some time in getting the motor out. It was a well taken care of truck until the frame folded on the guy. I'm needing my garage back so I can get my '93 in and get started on it. My '89 Silverado was in the shop all last summer and I don't want my '93 going the same route this summer.

Doors and panels are gone, I will know this weekend on the seat, carpet, and belts. I have to strip the dash and get the column out yet. I will compile a list of what is left this weekend. Have a full plate at the moment.

If the deal with the bench seat doesn't happen I want it. Let me know what you are asking for it, I can pick it up.

Here is what's left. A cab with a totally shot rusted frame. Needs Cab Corners and rockers. Glass is good. No interior. Front end had had some new bushings etc in the last few years. The front unbolts so would be a good candidate for swapping into another ride. Steering box is good, Leaf springs and rearend is good. Cost = FREEBIES. I am keeping the wheels and tires and steering column, Frame and cab must go as a package deal.

Instrument cluster = $25 + ride and Dash Bezel goes with it. It is a little hacked where the previous owner put in an aftermarket radio.

Doghouse = $300 this is an excellant shape doghouse with new inner fenders, radiator was boiled out 2 years ago. Hood has some scratched in it but nothing major. Grille is excellant.

700R4 = $400 and has been rebuilt a few years ago.

Dual tanks = $50. The drivers tank has a new sending unit and one new strap. All brackets included. The sending unit alone is worth more than that. I also have the fuel pump which is the same age. Although I am not quite sure what it looks like. If it is plastic and sits directly underneath the cab with the fuel lines and a (I think) 6 wire plug then that is it.

Just to let everyone know....everything is sold except the 700R4 and the doghouse. And I do have to say that I have met a lot of great people from this site. Either by phone or in person And from the almost dozen that I have spoke with or met in person, everyone has been super to talk to. Makes all the bad things in the world a little more tolerable.

No it never did have the factory air cleaner anyways. It was an aftermarket. BTW everything else has been sold.
