First question is can an airhorn gasket be reused, or is it better to put on a new one? Second, when replacing the carb to manifold gasket will it be necessary to reset the float if the carb is moved around or turned side to side? I may not be taking the air horn off unless I have to that's why I ask.

You can reuse the air horn gasket as long as it doesn't tear, but they're not real expensive anyway. The float level should be OK if you don't bend the float. If you change the mounting gasket, just try not to turn the carb upside down unless you're going to remove the air horn and clean the bowl out. Sometimes the sediment in the bowl can cause problems if it moves when the carb if turned over. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I'll keep all that in mind. I was checking for leaks and seem to have one near the L/F corner of the carb where it meets the manifold. My leak testing method was spraying starting fluid around the base of the carb.
