chrome factory grill
Would like to go with a factory grill but not sure the charcoal or arget silver would look too good. Someone know if anyone sells a chromed factory grill?
I've searched and found nothing so far....don't really WANT to go billet but may if I can't find a chromed factory...thanks for any info. Also..if anyone has any other suggestions they are welcome!! Jason P.S. Can you guys tell I'm excited to get back into the rebuild??

I have seen them offered for the 91 Burb style grill but that's about it. It looks like a bit too much chrome for me taste though...

The grills were never offered chromed. And I have never seen a stock 'chromed' grill.
Argent looks good. Depends on how 'bling' your going with it..

If the factory grille isn't available in chrome, maybe you could find a place to chrome it. I've heard of places chroming plastic items. Although, I'm not sure if a factory grille can be chromed or the quality. I imagine it's probably expensive to do. I do know a 'chrome' paint came out a few months ago that is said to come very close to looking like chrome. The price was high, too.
Instead, maybe you could take a factory grille and fab up the upper-center and lower-center moldings of the grille with chrome (or billet) to accent the grille and the truck. Worst case, you could slightly change the color scheme of the factory grille to accent/compliment the color(s) of your truck. If I'm not mistaken, the last picture you posted of your truck, it was in primer and headed to the body/paint shop. I suppose you have some color on it now.?

I would save your money on the Argent grille, and just get the billet one. It will look great against the grey.

Crush-
Thanks for the update. Sounds likes your truck is coming along nicely. BTW, if you're still set on a full chrome grille, you may want to contact Advanced Plating in Nashville to see what they can do for you.

Cliffsta-
I'm not sure to what grille you are referring. My guess is that the main portion of the grille is chrome with the horizontal/vertical inserts being silver/argent. As you mentioned in your earlier post, Chevy Duty does make a chrome grille. Crush- The picture below is of a chrome reproduction grille for the 77-79s taken from the Chevy Duty catalog.

The 89-91 blazer/burb dual headlight grille is chromed plastic, both the chevy and GMC versions with their minor differences. Even new, they look cheap (typical of GM vehicles of that era ). Mine being cracked in half did not improve the looks. The fake chrome on the grille is so bad you can tell it from 20 feet away.
