Longhorn, back on the "hydro"
well, the old 383 is takin a good beatin on the 65-6800 shifts on that 6 spd(thrust main). the crank isnt kissin the main webbing yet, & will be running a 400 Turbo(the best that GM did). The auto trannies are a little easier on the engines, & I look for 2 or 3 more seasons of pure he!!! with that 383. the 400 t was a rebuilt trans from a parts truck(driven to the scean of destruction!) it shouldnt work too bad with 3.40 geaRS on a 29" tall tire im going mild on the next one, (just a good build on a 4 bolt 350).....square deck, tight quench, & good balance job. she will run the Edelbrock RPM top off the 383, with a smaller cam(sweet street) I have a couple "bites" on the Richmond.......that booger was lots of fun, but i have been playing the game for too many yrs! I am pushing 50 real hard, & too d@mn tired to piss with worn out or broken parts......just give me a d@mn smooth ride @ say 140 with no busted parts.....too old to "rock & roll", but too Damn young to quit..........crazyL

Let's see . . ..... carry the one...... divide by the sum total...... add 2 decimal points.... I've got it..... $400* to me since I'm from Tx.
*That of course includes shipping . Seriously, hopefully you can get .50 on the dollar for it. What ratios/splines was it again?

the trans is 1 1/8" x 26 spline input, with a 4.683 front bearing retainer(fits car bell, or 67 & older truck bell) . the ratios are 3.28 2.14 1.57 1.24 1 & .76 for overdrive. I was looking at (hoping for) around .75 on the dollar.....its like anything else tho, once you drive it around the block , the value drops best I can do is run an add, & see how it goes L
