Question about Lowering 3/4 ton? please look
hey guys i noticed quite a few people here have questions about lowering 2wd 3/4 ton trucks. i have a lot of questions about how to do it to so i though i would as you guys about this setup up and what you guys think.
for the front: i sent an email to gmc pauls, and they told me 3 inch drop spindles for a 73-87 will fit on my 72 gmc 3/4 ton 2wd. no modifications, just take the old ones off, bolt them on. Early classic enterprises has 1 and 2 inch drop coil springs for the front that they say will also fit my truck. that would be 4 inches drop in front. i will also put lowered shocks on the front. is there anything else i need, what do u guys think about this setup? for the back: gmc pauls says there 4 inch drop leaf springs will bolt right on my truck. the only draw back is that they will decrease my load capacity to a half ton truck, which i never carry anything, so it doesnt matter to me. do you guys think the springs/spindles/shocks will be okay in front...is there anything else i will need???? In the back, is there anything else i need in order to put on 4 inch drop leafs in the back??? thanks |

Sounds like a Good setup.
Just a heads up dont try and use a 2" drop shackle on the back if you have a wood floor.
