year model

How do I tell what year model I have?It has round lights it looks just like a 78 I had but the grill looks different.The slotted bar under the grill is all crome.I have no title so I can't look at that.

If it has a round gas cap instead of a fuel door it's a 78 or earlier...

Just wanted to let you know that it could also be a 79 which would have round headlights and the solid chrome under the grille.Most 80's have square headlights,but not all.

Just an FYI...only the 80 silverado's had square headlights. All other 80's had round headlights.

go to carfax and put the vin number in for the free check.It will tell you the year of it.Only works if it is 81 or newer.Dang i forgot that.I have an 80 GMC here that has square headlights(truck is orignal my dad bought it new)
