Cool. I might have to holler at you. I am coming over to work out some more details on my house. I am going with Satterwhite for my materials.

Hmmmmm. I will have to check. I am dropping off of I-20 for a second to pick up my dad (southeast Arkansas)....so I need to verify that our trip is still "a go". If we are still going that weekend, we would be there in Longview Saturday morning sometime.
So are you offering to pick it up from Fade and deliver it?
I will make a call and try to get that set up. (Plus, that is payday weekend!!!)

putter yep I can do that going to be there any way. I know Fade94 so I am pretty sure he would be ok with it. Need to make sure I can get it in the car.

Fade94 how long and high is that thing you think it would fit in the trunk of my GP?

Well, if either one of you two gentlemen want to consider shipping on the A/C stuff, I would be interested. My blazer could use an A/C Dash

Lemme know...

thanks

Not trying to hi-jack this thread,but.....Does the entire dash bolt in? I have never seen one out. My dash is jacked up...some PO cut the radio opening all up. I have a patch for it, but I'd ather just bolt in a whole new dash if it just bolts in. And if so, and this one is not taken by those previosly interested, I'm interested if it can be shipped to So Cal 92310. Thanks.

flip66- It would be tight, but I think it will fit. I can measure it when I get him this afternoon.

4tiresngas- The dash has 3 bolts at each end and it's spot welded at the front. If the windshield is out, as mine was, the spot welds can be drilled out. Since I was in somewhat of a hurry, I took a sawzall to it. I did NOT cut the dash, but the cowl. The spotwelds are still there.

As far as shipping it, it would take some thought on how to package it so it wouldn't get bent.

Fade,
If it will fit in Flip's car, I think I will take it. I will PM you on the money details. You can just let me know if it will fit in his car and we can hash out the details.

See....this is why I do all I can to help folks out on this board. The favor will always get back to you. I have to find out what time he will be tied up with the wedding. I know we will be there fairly early and staying until after lunch (longer if needed). If we can't get together, he will be in town on Friday also, and we might have to hand it off that way. I will let you know.

Satterwhite will provide the logs and other materials, but I am not getting them to do the work. When I lived in Arkansas, my father and I built two for other families, so we are doing mine as well. (Saves a bucket of cash that way)
