I am not a Mustang fan but you have to love the older body style coming back. The front end is from the 60's style. MO

Eric,

If ya get a old mustang the problem with them is everyone has beat the snot out of 'em so ya may end up with a roach! But hey there built ford tough.

And as far as us still wanting you around?

I think you'll probably find a nice home at some Stang forum and you will probably come by less & less and then..................

But what ever you decide on i hope you like it and enjoy it.

Good kuck.

82-92 F bodies can run in the mid 12s for about half that... dont know about milage, since my odometer was broken though, but it wasnt anywhere near 10 mpg.

Eric... I think that a mustang would be great..... ya it may be a ford but who gives a damn. They are cheap and great looking.... plus I love the way they sound especially when you put an x pipe on it. I think a nice set of wheels and a few hp add on's would make it awsome. Go for it man... I wish I had the money to get one!!!

thats why i liked it so much.

at the auction i looked at a few different car:

couple grand prix gtp's (cheap as hell interior)
lt1 and ls1 transam(not as cheap interior, but beat to hell cars)
v6 & gt mustangs (on par with the transam)
and then the jetta(omfg! it all fits and comes together so great)

everythign about the car, build quility wise is SO much higher than everything else i looked at, oh, cept the bmw z4 and porsche boxster i drove

the jetta weights in at about 2950lbs, 150hp stock with a FLAT torque curve of 155ft/lbs.
this one had a cold air intake and aftermarket turboback exhaust, dont know about a chip yet, but if not i'll be putting on on it.
with everything including the chip, it should be putting out about 220hp at the crank and still get 25 city /31 highway mpg

I looked into getting one of these cars as my commuter. but after some research at 1.8Turbo.com or some crap like that I decided against it. To much power after the upgrades (chip, pulley) = broken parts and computer problems. I'll stick with my F4I for the commute and tough it out in the truck when it's cold.
