Need some help with getting the steering arm off i have the nuts off and cannot seem to get the arm off.. Any help would be great...

do you have a torch.heat it up, gently, between rust and age, you could beat on that thing for ever and end up with just a mangled steering arm still attached! If no torch soak it in penetrating oil a couple of times over a couple of days then try it

Can you use a FORK to pry it apart. No, not the fork you eat with, two prongs in a wedge shape and you hit it with a hammer on the end to force it in between.

are we talking about the one on the steering box?

if so, what i did when the puller could not do the job was make 2 angle cuts on each side where it slide onto the bolt of the steering box.

Do you have it torn down to the spindle? You really have to slap it from the right side, then the left until one of the cone washers comes loose... then the others will follow.

When I did mine I didn't use heat or a puller. Just get a 5-10 lb sledge hammer and hit it down, then up, then down. The up and down action is what did it for me. Just hitting it does nothing. It still took a while, but after a bit the cone washers start to walk out. Then I pulled them with needle nose and it came off. Pretty much a huge pain in the ass.

Thanks guys I used the hammer method and it freed up pretty easily....
