Video Research participants
Hey gang!
I know it has been a while since you heard from me on this, but I have a little progress to report. I finally found a laserdisc player that will play the GM laserdisc I acquired. I got it on Ebay...and actually won the auction for it this afternoon. Originally I thought any old laser disc player would play these, but after some research and communication with some laser disc player experts I met online, that wouldn't be the case. SO, I spent quite a bit of time trying to track down one of the six or so laser disc players that would work for this. Once I get the laserdisc player I will immediately get it running and attempt to play the laserdisc. If all goes well, meaning the player works, the laserdisc work, and the player will play these particular laserdisc...I will then procede to try and get them converted to DVD format and sent out to everyone who has participated. Here is the link to the quick page I threw together showing the laser disc, they are for 1981, 1984 and 1985 http://www.73-87.com/7387info/laserdisc.htm Stay tuned for more ino.

Thanks Jeff!
I sort of wondered what happened to the research, but seems like you've made great progress. Thanks for taking the time to make this happen.

Glad to hear that you're still getting somewhere Jeff. Too bad no one here works for GM and could go digging for us
