transmission "clunk"

After changing u-joints in my truck (th350/np205). I still get a pretty bad "clunk" when I shift into drive. Any ideas.

Play in the rearend. Check out how much slop is in the gears.

recheck the U-straps on the rear pinion to driveshaft u-joint
