I was out looking for "parts trucks" today on lunch and found a truck sitting in a guys yard with no hood on it. After talking to his wife, she told me to come by around 5 and talk to her husband. I talked to him @ 5:30 tonight and struck a deal. I am now the owner of a 72' C10 Cheyenne Super LWB. I will be the 2nd owner of it. It has original paint(dk. olive w/ white roof & middle) with the dark olive interior. Seat has green houndstooth, guages, glovebox & doorpanels have the wood. Original motor is gone(son has it in a Monte SS) but the T350 is there along with all of the A/C stuff. Truck has very minor rust, just needing outer rockers and a dime sized hole in the drivers cab corner. Floor has a small hole the size of a quarter where the sill plate & kickpanel meet. Floorbraces and top of firewall are sweet. Bed is solid but has a bang behind the drivers side wheel. I even found the original jack for it.
I have to wait for his son to move some cars out of the way so I can pull it out. I will post up some pics when I pull it, it was raining too hard. Now, I have to decide whether I want to fix it to drive it, fix it to restore it or fix it for resale.

My lips say congrats, my brain says...that should have been a deal for me
Serious, sounds like a great deal, especially for a Yankee bread vehicle. Be looking forward to seeing it when you drag her out.

Thanks guys... I will see if I can get some pics when I finish work tommorrow(gotta crack the whip on the son while I'm there ). I thought I got a good deal on it. The body isn't bad at all on it. The interior needs help but isn't that bad. I have a few issues under the hood to deal with (cut a/c lines to remove condensor, cut fuel lines, and some cut wires) but that doesn't bother me. Now I just have to decide whether to keep a SBC in it or go with a bigblock.
My neighbor just bought a 72' GMC C1500 Custom from a freind of mine at work for $150.00. It is a running/driving stripper truck(250,3 spd & that's it, nothin' else...)but that is what he wanted. His is pretty beat though. He was pissed when he saw mine

Hey Joe,
Nice find man, well how many does that make? Man I wish I could find a deal like that back here. Yea it's been too long without the burb. I'm starting to look again because I'm afraid I'm going to tear this wagon up hauling with it. Latter Tom.

100 isn't the middle of 75 and 150
On a serious note, that sounds like a GREAT deal. Congrats

and a few more... After I took these, I pulled the trans & driveshaft and bolted the hood on. Leaving now to throw some tires on it and tow it to my buddies house...

Whew! It was fun trying to push it out of there. Here are a few more pics I took last night of it when we got it to my buddies dads house. Looks pretty good... Gonna give it a buff if the rain ever stops. I think it will come up pretty decent. Should be a fairly easy resto.
