Help with cab rust repair.
It looks like I am going to need to do some repair work in the cab where the kick panel meets the floor. Has anyone tackled this job and could you give me some direction?
Thanks, Larry |

you can buy repair panel sections for both the floor and the kick panel.... cut the rust back to good metal, then cut what you need out of the new repair panel and weld it in.... it's more time consuming than it is difficult...
The key is having the right tools for the job, and plenty of patience...

Southpa, If you don't get yourself a mig I'm gonna take up a collection and get you one....j/k
I don't know how you're doing that with a stick welder. You will be in heaven with a mig. Last edited by ebfabman; 08-12-2002 at 12:13 AM. |

you'll probably have to buy the whole piece then trim what you need.
Heres a link to get some pics of what the panels look like. http://www.goodmarkindustries.com/HomePage.html |

You can get the panels from a board member vender like Kingparts, GMCpauls, or Wes

ebfabman.....you really should consider changing your title to something like "master of metal"......or "steel artist"
