Angry Why My Truck Started Missen.......

I broke down about 2:45 am right when hurricane dennis started coming through here,My fuel gage read 1/4 tank so i didnt think i was out of gas,After walking home(13 miles) in a windy downpour,(luckily had a 10 pack in a cooler to walk me home with),I got it towed home and figured i`d replace the plugs, wires, cap n rotor since they looked fried,After doing this i found there was no gas,got gas, fired right up,but ever since ,its running like i`m fouled on 1 or 2 plugs,It`s an 82 reman 350 swapped into a 1984 gmc 1500 that use to have a inline 6 in it.I uninstalled the cap and reset it and it is running better now but still wiggles on take offs like a plugs fouled but at 45mph.,I can punch it and it`ll put u back in the seat like it use to do 3 years ago, just cant find the problem,I`m about ready to put the old crap back on it,Also should i of replaced the coil in the disty cap when i replaced the cap n rotor, wires, and plugs,,was thinking that might be my prob...any ideas??? thanx,,charlie in florida.

did you check all vaccume connections? I had my break boster nut come loose and that dident help any with my truck. it also could be the carb like my truck. with my truck its bogs down from idle up to about 30 mph. its to the point that I have to put it in nutual to keep the thing idling. and changing the idle doesent help. double check the plugs and boots. Ive put a plug in after cleaning it and put it in and start it up and it run like it was fouled again. pulled it out and the mettle arm was bent down. so something happened. is it posable that something got in the car from dennis? I know that one time here we had some high winds and I went down to the beach to watch the weird weather and I got sand all over the motor. it hasent acted the same sence then.

anyway, You could have a loose plug wire somewhere? Are all of them on tight? My dad and I do that all the time. Just aren't on tight enough, or cross threaded a plug? Dono.

I`ve twisted and retwisted the plug wires and when i 1st did the tune up,the spudder was like i was missen on 2 plugs or`so. I undid and reinstalled the cap,and put the old wires back on and it runs alot better now,But still has a spudder slash missen feel to it, like from zero to 40-45 mph,example:GO-SPUDDER-GO-SPUDDER-GO-SPUDDER(ONLY FOR A SEC. EVRYTIME)GO-SPUDDER,45MPH-GOGOGOGOGOGOGO,,,Dont notice it much after 45-100+ its fine,,gonna go get the carb checked and vacum lines checked and if all is well,,going to trash this holly and put a eddelbrock on it,Just dont make sense that i changed the fuel filter and cap n rotor plus wires and plugs and now have this problem..???????????????????????

its in your carb really simple to change pull your fuel bowl and the metering block its on the back side of the metering block it just screws in
