Were the 79' chevy silverados the only trucks that had a gold tape or paint in the exterior side trim??? If so was it a paint or tape??? if so is this trim hard to find these days??? Thanks Matt

yellow/gold trim

it was 1977 that had the yellow/gold trim and it was painted on, i think there is one company that is doing the yellow trim, I think it is classic industries

TexasJeff is correct. 77 trucks had the yellow or gold colored insert in the trim. It was painted in. About the only way your going to find OEM replacement pieces for it is on Ebay unless you get lucky like I did.

Or you could raid my stash Most of this isn't 77 either, but it is all NOS and in perfect condition. I do have quite a few 77 pieces, and NO it is not for sale.....

yep it is incorrect. Either someone put 77 trim on it, or painted the black insert a 77 color....

Keep in mind the Gentleman Jims have the yellow stripe on it also which is factory correct.
