It went up 20 cents last night in Wichita. Now $2.79/gal.

There's a problem with small cars.

I also saw on the news last night that gas is expected to go up 30 to 50 cents per gallon in the next week because of a few oil refineries shut down. The media is retarded. Because they said that everyone in america is going to be filling up their vehicles starting last night and today, people who may have been able to go a few more days, a week, or even more on the tank of fuel they had. This will create a small "surge" in gasoline consumption at a time when production will be halting for a week or so at some plants. Oil companies are loving that, because WE then create a little "mini shortage" because we all had to fill up at once, and that is going to cause the spike in prices to go even higher, because the demand will be higher and the supply lower. With that said, I topped off my truck last night, 'cause I knew y'all would too

Regular unleaded was at $3/gal in Metro Detroit last night while I was on my route. Starting to wish I hadn't sold my 88 Cavalier with the 4 cylinder.

I hope your kidding, but seriously, I've been thinking about gettin robbed of gas. My truck has a big tank that is easy to get to. Locking gas caps may become a big seller again.

the is going to be a short term pop for sure but the problem with gas prices is they don;t seem to come down as quick so they stay inflated due to speculation.

You'd probably have a great time watching it rot in the garage too.

You must be talking about my Metro. Couple things you got wrong, 4-seater, some have 12" wheels, and a whopping 54hp...

Of course I'm driving my Metro XFi, which only has 49hp, but gets 58mpg.

$3.50 a gallon in some spots here in town and gas stations have lines coming out of them a mile long. traffic is horrendous, people are backed up to get into gas stations and they're blocking the roads. i saw two fights walking down a block or two from work to drop off a letter in a PO drop box.

The funny thing is, they wouldn't have to do that if the media didn't convince everyone there was going to be "a large price spike" and that there would be a "gas shortage." "Gas shortage" are two words you never use at a time like this. Yes, some refinery plants will be shut down for a week or two, BUT the media and WE THE CONSUMER have created a huge spike in demand which has caused a huge spike in price because everyone is afraid there will be "no gas." People who don't need to fill up are filling up and it's stupid. Gas stations here in g-ville have run out of gas and those that still have it have hour long lines. I'm glad I filled up sunday night and I can go for about 2 weeks on what I got. I feel sorry for people who are on E and have to wait in lines forever 'cuase people who don't NEED gas are clogging lines and creating this "mini-shortage." Gas has gone up about 80 cents per gallon since this morning here.

Gas has jumped 30 cents here in two days. Its a bunch of bs considering the only oil refined into gas here is from Alaska and Canada.

they said it will be at least $2.98 when that truck comes in, can you say

Gas went up .15 yesterday and another .20 today, gasohol is 2.89 and reg unleaded is at 2.94 here in north Iowa. We will cut down on our optional driving to try to save a few bucks.
