i'm working on my lifted 85, and run into a little snag

i'm looking for a very nice, smooth working ( i know thats rare

) tailgate handle assembly.....i dont need the rods that go on both sides, just the handle assembly part...this one is rusted out, and all bent up...like most all of them out there

anyone have a good one they'd part with????

dang it man I just throw away my old 76 tailgate yesterday, because it wouldn't work on the 86 4x4. It's handle worked fine but the tailgate was bowed slightly. if you only would have needed it a couple days ago.

i just did a mapquest to see exactly where holden is....wow...your not far from Gilbert

heck man, i grew up in Justice, and went to Gilbert grade school

Crap I'm glad you said that I live at monaville now about 5 or 10 minutes from holden need to change that.

No man all my tailgate guts went with it. I took the hinges/trunions and links or arms and put on the 86 but the tailgate was too wide? so I scrapped it to clean the place up.

Have you tried lmc or another online place? They have the rods, handle, links, and hinges(both parts) for like 70 I think. Might find only the ones you need for cheapier

Yeap sure can try LMC truck they had them for like 15-25 I think.

I also found them on partszoneonline.com they have them and good prices too.

I have a rusted out tailgate off a 77 Blazer sitting up behind my garage under a Blazer roof that I can check on Saturday for you if you still need one. Let me know.
