Suicide Doors has a pretty good variety. Or any good shop can fab something up for you.

neither of those places appear to have one that is curved the same as the frame on a coil sprung truck.

Doesn't matter. It's a weld in, you can cut and weld it any way you want!

Re: 67-72 step notch??

I understand that. I work in a shop that builds street rods. I can do the fabrication if I wanted to. I was just looking for something that would save me the time/ trouble of building it.

Re: 67-72 step notch??

I do not know of anyone making a 63-72 specific step notch, but I know a number of people have used the standard 8 piece step notch that Jason along with many others sell and just weld it in. The only down fall to this is that your notch will sit something like this.. \ / Now it is not that drastic and after looking at a few I kinda like the look. I know there is someone on the board that has a 66 long bed he did this way. I have decided I am just going to cut my frame off right behind the first bed mount and make the rest. We will see though cause I may get lazy and just build a notch and weld it in at an angle.

Hope this helps some

Re: 67-72 step notch??

I bought a notch from Western Chasis that welds in. It's like they took a short piece of 6 inch steel pipe and cut it in half. I'm cutting my frame to put it in.

Re: 67-72 step notch??

Project76, Was wondering how tall this notch is from kp, Could you possibly measure from the bottom of the original frame to the bottom of the new step notch. Thanks for the help. Just want to make sure that I will have enough room to go low.

The notch is 7.5" from the bottom of the factory rail. Not sure if its gonna get me low enough yet or not with my 29" tires. Waiting on some 3" blocks i ordered to come in, since the frame rails and trailing arms are hitting now.
