Popping out of 4 wheel drive
Is it just an adjustment when a truck pops out of 4 wheel drive? I had the tranny replaced in my 85 and now it pops out when i put it in 4hi or lo....makes no difference. It looks like something is out of whack because to lock it into 4 hi it is almost lined up with the 4 lo selection on the console. Any help would be appreciated....

Re: Popping out of 4 wheel drive
Sounds like the linkage may need to be adjusted. Its a fairly simple thing to do.

Re: Popping out of 4 wheel drive
First question -- Full time or part time?
Second question, is there a little round cover with 3 bolts on it on the back side of the t-case between the upper and lower shafts?

Re: Popping out of 4 wheel drive
If it is the stock case in that truck, I bet it is a np208. I think you can adjust the linkage on that one.
