Re: 58 seat
I have seen a lot of guys run the mid to late 90's chevy truck seats and they appear to be a good fit. I don't have any pics but I have seen it a lot. It seems like these seats or buckets are getting more common than the original seats.

Re: 58 seat
I agree with the Chevy trucks...but check out the '88-'92 60/40 seats. They're thin in the back and will fit perfectly plus will give you access to the back of the seat to store stuff .

Re: 58 seat
Try to find a bench seat out of a "standard cab" Chevy truck, that way the back of the seat will fold forward, the 4-door or extended cab models are fixed and typically do not tilt forward. I have also heard of a few guys who used 200+ Buick seats. They have self contained seatbelts and fit well too

Re: 58 seat
I used some seats out of an old honda accord sitting in my pops side yard. I had to make brackets for them but that wasnt that big of a deal.
I have plenty of room in between myself and the steering wheel and im not a small guy 6ft 225lbs. The sliders work and as long as I dont have it all the way slid back I can recline it about 3/4 the way back to which is plenty for me. Last edited by 55ChevyPU; 11-21-2006 at 04:46 AM. |

Re: 58 seat
i'm using a 60/40 split bench out of a 99 full size, std. cab GMC
have to fab up a bracket for the inside portion tho as the late models don't have a flat floor.
