3/4 ton wheels

Does anyone know if any of the aluminum wheels off of the newer GM trucks will fit my 76 3/4 ton crew?

Re: 3/4 ton wheels

the wheel bolt pattern is the same.I know the wheel off set tucks the tires in more on a 67-72 truck but not sure on the newer ones

I have them on my 71 burb.

You need conversion lug nuts to run the center caps. More info here:

Re: 3/4 ton wheels

I have the newer wheels on my truck, the only thing you need is to buy the lug nuts to use the center caps.

Re: 3/4 ton wheels

I know I probably asked this before but do your tire rub TexasJeff? Did you install new coil springs or anything in the front? Is your truck a heavy (beefier) 3/4?

Re: 3/4 ton wheels

My tires don't rub at all, wheel lock to lock no problems. My truck is a standard 3/4 ton with just over 100,000 miles and the only thing I have done to the front end is put new shocks on it and change out the steering box, other than that it is all stock GM. The tires are LT285-75R16. I got wheels from a tire and wheel shop here in the Houston area, I paid $100 a wheel with the center caps, bought the lug nuts off e-bay for $40 from ez accessories, sorry about the slow response, been busy with work.

Re: 3/4 ton wheels

I've got a set of the steel wheels on my 3/4 ton 4x4 (actually, less the frame and front diff, she is all 1 ton equipped, so its a bit taller than the average 3/4 ton) and they fit real good Just need some bigger meat for her, she has 31s at the moment, but could definitely use a set of 33s

Re: 3/4 ton wheels

Those 285-75-16s are 33in tall thats why I was asking. Are the Control arms different for a 3/4 ton and 1 ton?

Re: 3/4 ton wheels

My truck is a 4x4, so I'm not sure, but I imagine that 1 ton control arms are different. The frame rails on a 1 ton are different for sure, much beefier.
