Question What do I need to buy?

I'm putting 71 spindles on my 70. Do I need to change the control arms? I'm gonna go ahead and rebuild thr front end while I have it apart. Do I need to get parts(ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings) for a 70 or a 71? Is there a difference. Where is the best place to buyy this stuff, Advance Auto?

I put 71 ball joints in my 69 arms with no problem at all. The 71 spindles bolted right in. The tie rods are bigger diameter than the 69...not sure about the 70. If you can get a center link out of a 71/72, you should use it and the 71/72 tie rods. I got all my stuff at Autozone.

Thanks, so if I buy ball joints for a 70 I should be ok. I just wanted to make sure before I started having any problems.

Thanks again

No, you need ball joints for a 71 or 72 to match your spindles. They will fit in your a arms. The bottom one is pressed in, and the top one is riveted. When you drill out the rivets, you can remove the top one and the new one comes with bolts to replace the rivets.
