Anybody ever lifted a minivan?

My dad wants to turn his '94 Dodge Caravan Sport into a "fishin' wagon." Give it a bit of a lift, bigger tires, take out the seats, etc. But I'm having zero luck in finding any kind of lift for it. Does anyone know if another Dodge vehicle uses similar suspension components that I can use on the caravan? If not, how can we go about lifting this thing?

Since it's a FWD and a unibody it won't be easy. Look up the part number and info on the springs. See if you can find one similiar but longer, or stronger to get some lift there.

Crawl under it and take some pics of the suspension. Maybe we can come up with something...

Re: Anybody ever lifted a minivan?

It's a strut, so why couldn't you just build a spacer to go where the top of the strut bolts in. Some longer bolts and you're set. Other way I've seen would be to build a spacer that bolts into the lower mount. Pics would help. Unfortunately because it's a strut, I don't think a longer spring would lift it, just make it ride stiffer.

Re: Anybody ever lifted a minivan?

I lowered a '95 Sport. Dearched the rear springs and modified the spring perch on the front struts (along with Eibach springs).

I have a set of unused rear spring perches that are supposed to lower the rear 1.5". They're Eibach, I believe... PM me if interested.

For raising, you could rearch the rear springs and just build a spacer/adapter for the top of the strut. Easy as pie.
