Been lurking here for a while.
Here's my 89 GMC Burb I got in January. Loving it and planning on making some changes to it too, with you guy's help. Mongo

Re: Show us those Burbs
Nice photo of very nice truck. Those autolock hubs gotta' go, though!
Here's mine... Sorry, files to large, but here's something else to chew on, seen on I89 just outside Burlington, VT... Can't do it, Coloradok5.com automatically re-sizes files. A bit beyond my scope... oh well... |

Re: Show us those Burbs
This was my 88 Suburban. It replaced an 89 with ALOT of mileage. (we switched grill/core support...I always liked the 89 best) My husband did some wheeling and dealing....and aquired his sister's used 02 Escalade for me to haul the kids in....But the Burb had to be sold....I miss that truck! My boys called it 'Mommy's Monster Truck'...That tag doesn't fit the Caddy! (But I hate to admit the Caddy pulls a loaded down car trailer a bit better than the old Burb did--will pull out tree stumps just as well--and gets better gas mileage to boot!) We sold it to a friend of ours who baby's it as much as I did! At least it's still in good hands.

Re: Show us those Burbs
Here is my Burban. 1987 2wd 3/4 ton with a 1991 front. It has a 454 - reworked heads, mild cam, Doug Thorley (50 state legal) Headers, 3" Single Exhaust with Flowmaster Muffler, Edelbrock Carb/Intake, Edelbrock Water Pump, Mallory Distributor, 3" lift Coil w/ball joint spacer up front and 2" blocks out back with airbags, TH400 tranny with shift kit and it sits on 16" Mojave wheels from American Wheels wrapped in 285/75-16 (equivalent to 33") BFG A/T-KO tires.
Future Plans: Switch out the front coils to Rancho coils, add Fox Shocks all around, Change out the rear leaf springs for Deaver Springs (keep the airbags) and wrap the wheels in 315/75-16 BFG BAJA T/A and flare fenders up front. Also add some interior aluminum accents and couple of TV's. |

Re: Show us those Burbs
Nine months off and on, almost finished, only some wiring left to clean up. 85 K10 4x4 with 87 383 block, Edelbrock intake, roller cam and lifters, Carter AFB carb, all pushing a 700R4. Amsoil throughout (engine, tranny and diffs) Heckethorn shocks, 32" tires. Inside was real clean so only new carpet padding. Kenwood stereo system, gauges, etc. Paint is an 03 GM indigo blue, 2 color, 3 clear.
