Who remembers which part?
Anyone remember wich part was needed to be reproduced in the rocker box area? Gee_Emm and Alex both needed it. I am parting a 70 Blazer and was going to see if the ones on this blazer are good enough to use as samples. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Re: Who remembers which part?
I was thinking that also, but am not sure. I do know that there is a rear floor support that is spot welded to the rear outer floor and bolted to the inner rocker and lower rear door pillar. It is shaped kind of like a triangle with tabs and I am having those done as we speak. Should have some of those by next weak. I think that they would be called Blazer Rear Floor Supports. Re: Who remembers which part?
That was one piece back when GEE was posting alot of his work that he was looking for. on the thread several people were asking about that part I remembered it as being the only part not being repo when everyone was getting rocker boxes;
WES I am in the process of putting floor pans in one of my blazers and then will do the other one. These are almost total reconstructions. Anyway the other part that I have seen that is always gone when the rockers are gone. Is the bracket/Brace that sits up against the kneewall under the last hump in the floor pan before the lip that connects the pan to the knee wall. It actually continues to the door jamb and ties into the pillar. It actually is what provides the support when you step up to get into the back of the blazer. It does a nice job of tying everything together right there. Anyway I have remade mine. It took several tries because of the angles. I saw on a thread about new Goodmark Complete floorpans guy was asking about back brackets/braces. I assume a pick up would have them. I am horrible at posting pics. When I get ready to install I will try |

Re: Who remembers which part?
I think pound41 is talking about this (but not quite so rusty!) I made my own as well as the piece Alexis posted.
I may have another picture of the triangular piece I made at home... Rg

Re: Who remembers which part?
Alex, that's it. Yours looks good...
Wes, sorry, I skipped over where you are having those reproduced. You guys are making it too easy on these guys that are doing Blazers! When I started they didn't even make rocker boxes! One thing you might consider is the rear part of the floor patch, I had to modify a piece for a truck... Hope the pic makes sense. Rg

Re: Who remembers which part?
Thanks guys for your help. This is exactly what I was looking for. The last one that Alexis posted is the one that I am having done localy only it will have the little step in it. Should be ready sometime this or next weak. The other I will have to send to Taiwan. It would be too expencive to have done here. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Re: Who remembers which part?
The Pic Alexis posted is the one I have made
Alexis; Does that piece have a lip that those 2 bolts are running through. WES: Also a rear floor patch/ and or the hump that the front seat sits on and back to the kneewall. That curved knob on the outside is gone in alot the blazers I have seen. I had to get a truck floor pan piece so I could weld it in. Kind of funny I had to go through numerious pickups to find one that wasn't rusted out as well. I know someone said goodmark is coming out with a complete floor pan but shipping would kill you. Most will cut them up and use what they need anyway. Thanks keep up the good work |

Re: Who remembers which part?
it doesn't have in the "lip". it's flat. I'm just going to drop a washer and weld it on. I tryed to figure out a way to make that dent but didn't put much though into it with my limited resources. I'll see if i can firgure it out when i start on the driver side.
