'nother newbie from MN.

Hello everyone. I am a bodyshop owner of over 35 years from Montevideo, MN. I've been messing with cars, trucks, cycles and boats for over 45 years. I have a passion for drag racing and circle track racing, also. I have owned many vehicles, including some G.M. pickups, so i will be listing some extra parts that i would like to see someone elce make use of. Hope everyone here has as much fun with their rides as i have. Happy Motoring.

Welcome, from just across the border in South Dakota. If you are around the 20th head on over for a little BS.

Thanks for the welcolme guys and Shawn, i used to live in Bushnell, SD for a short time and then moved to Lake Benton, so i've been to Brookings a few times. That was many years ago, tho. Thanks, Lanny

Re: 'nother newbie from MN.

Welcome from Sleepy Eye. What trucks do you currently own? You wouldn't happen to have a 69-72 chevy passenger fender would ya? How much body work have you done on these trucks?

Do you get to the track in Redwood Falls much? Maybe I'll see ya there or in Brainerd during the NHRA drags there.

Re: 'nother newbie from MN.

Hey Lanny, welcome! I lived just west of you in Dawson for a number of years. I went to circle track races in Monte, was there a track at the fairgrounds? Also went to Madison and Bird Islands tracks. I moved to Sioux Falls,SD in 1978 but I still get back there a couple times a year.
It's good to have you on board!

Re: 'nother newbie from MN.

Hi Al, I lived in Dawson too when i was a kid, '56-'57. Been in Montevideo since about 1961 till present.
Yes the track in Montevideo is still at the fairgrounds. I have raced at all the local tracks around here, off and on, since the late 60's, early 70's, till late 80's. Then raced a Nostalgia class '40 Ford cp, with flathead, from '96 till i sold it in 2001.
I had a cancer operation 2 mo's ago and now am going to list some '70-'71 Chev PU parts that i no longer will need, and hopefully someone will.
Take care, Lanny Ostenson.
