posting for friend 69 c/20 stepside parts/repair

I do not want or need anymore prodjects in my life right now. (wife will kill me) but a local guy who does not get online has a 69 c/20 (2wd ) with step side bed for sale. bed is real nice as it has a camper shell on it and has since 75 so he claims. cab roof and inside by visors have zero rust but. Here is the bad part. It has been parked outside for a few years and has a heavy house type rug in it. Well some kids must have been playing in it and put the windows down some. The truck was out back and he never even looked at it for a few years. the floor has major rust holes from the hump out to the rockers/cab corners. It could be fixed if you bought the new floor as the top is nice. front clip is nice - dent in grill surround(bottom) straight 6 truck that does run( put a battery in and hooked a can to the fuel pump as to not draw unknown gas in the engine .Fired right up and sounds fine. he wanted 1,000 for it and I told him he was crazy and would never sell it for that. so he agrred with me that 600 or so was a much better price for a truck that could use a good cab.

I will get some pics on the weekend if you guys want them. (this does not benifit me in any way except he watches my animals when I go on vacation and such)

I will also be listing a 70 step later

Re: posting for friend 69 c/20 stepside parts/repair

I was away all weekend sorry . Tim I will get some pics this week if we get a day it does not rain. It real nice for this area tailgate is almost perfect with only a few dings on the top edge, no holes, no dents in the letters, lots of good stuff on it. I am taking the silly topper off he wants to make a dog house out of it (whatever).
Paul, I will get back with you on the 70 My older brother says he wants it so we will see if that pans out he already has 2 chevelles. You will be first in line on that one if he changes his mind.

long step, straight 6, powerglide, eaton.

Yeah it is a real cherry of a dog house. 3 windows with entrance canopy, aluminum so it will never rust, insulated to keep the cold in in the winter and the heat in in the summer.
