What???You didn`t wash it first?The new wheels will get dirty,now.Looks good,kind of a throw-back appeal for me.

Re: 68 got new shoes..(Pics)
Haha, I really do need to wash it, my hood is very dirty, as well as the windshield, because i drove on the interstate the other day about 15 miles at 70..
What do you mean by throwback? I am very pleased with it. The brakes brake a lot better when the tires aren't 33 inches :-D |

Re: 68 got new shoes..(Pics)
Hmmm...throw-back,never thought I`d have to define it.I don`t know
I guess it means nostalgic or the way it was.Like aluminum slots or finned aluminum wheels,era-correct.Like Cragars on a muscle car.

67 fleet,
If i could afford a SAN, I wouldn't be driving that truck ;-) What would you be driving?Nothing says "cool" like a sweet boat being hauled by a classic Chevy. To the boat people that may not appreciate the old truck,it still says`"It`s about the boat, not what gets it there,A-hole!"

Re: 68 got new shoes..(Pics)
Looks good !!!, but I am biased since we have some like that on the 68. IMHO the wagon wheels are very correct for these trucks.

While I was at a landing down on the Mississippi River waiting for a friend to meet me to practice for a tournament, another rig pulls up next to me and starts getting ready to back in. He looks at my brand new boat, then at my 1970 4x4, and says, "I can't believe you pull that boat with that truck." Without a pause I replied, "That boat is depreciating in value. That truck is appreciating in value." That was 2002. To this day I'd still rather pull that boat with my truck verses my 2004 Ford Explorer.

Re: 68 got new shoes..(Pics)
Thanks for the comments guys.
I would rather be pulling a nice boat, with that truck, when it's finished, or with a nice hoe or burb. But that truck doesn't look as good as i want it to yet. |
