rethinking tanks
My original plan was to run 2 5 gal. tanks and 2 compressors. I'm now rethinking this since this truck is not a daily driver. I think I might go with the 2 compressors which I already have and 1 5 gal. tank. About how many times can I raise and lower the truck with this setup before the compressors kick on? Thanks for any help.

Re: rethinking tanks
Compressors will kick on almost immediately after you start raising the truck from full dump. This is because the pressure switch will sense a drop below the lower threshold. However, the real question (I think), is how many times can you raise and lower the truck with 5 gallons of air (assuming for a moment that you didn't have compressors). The good news is that you can lower it as many times as you want ;-) ... Raising it, however, is going to be about once. There may be enough air volume in the tank to fill all the bags twice, but there won't be enough pressure on that air the second time around to get the front to lift all the way up. I've got 2 3 gallon tanks and this is true for my setup as well. The only real solution to being able to do multiple cycles without compressors kicking on is to start with more pressure.
