Re: Here's how i want my 73 Blazer (pshopped)
I wheeled with the owner a few years back at blazer bash...i might have a few more pics of it. It was the cleanest 76 i have ever seen. The owner told me he had replaced allmost every panel with nos gm panels. This pic was taken on our way down into cliffhanger in moab. Just after the river crossing there is a rather nasty step up in the trail...on the way out he hooked a boulder on the right side of the blazer and did a number to the sheetmetal. I have never seen or heard from him since that blazer bash. When i get time i'll upload a pic of my 79 doing the climb up so you can see what tore up his k5.

- Dave Side note: I know you are into the Chalet's. There's been one on a small lot in a little Calif town called Bishop for about 3 years. If you know anyone interested, I'm going thru in a few weeks and maybe could get some info. PS: My wife wants the Blazer deep red - because the PO gave her a spare set of keys after the sale.

Re: Here's how i want my 73 Blazer (pshopped)
Carol LaDue:
Mine is very similar to yours, but, way rougher shape. I've always wanted a "Convertible" Blazer and fell into mine for abot $500 bucks. The fancy blue truck is a plan my son and I came up with. He plans to be the next Chip Foose, and this is his first "job". So, I'll let him get away with straying from the stock look a bit. I will eventually find one at the right price and make it as bone stock as possible - the way it was born. But, with three truck projects going now, my wife would kill me for even asking about another "Investment Vehicle". Your pics are sweet. Don't farm it out too cheap. You oughta throw a too much money sign on the window and park it here in Reno or Sparks during Hot August Week. I saw a P.O.S. 72 El Camino with no engine, no hood and tons of rust sell for $8,000 last year. Stay serious about your Blazer and get a good price from someone who'll take care of it. - Dave

Re: Here's how i want my 73 Blazer (pshopped)
Wedgemon....allthough i truely love my chalet way to much and i plan a full frame off next year....i also own a 79 K5 which was my first Gen 2 K5 and daily driver for 5 or 6 years before she succumbed to the dark side...a 79 K5 2WD project...a 90 Jimmy...a 77frame and tub for the chalet...and a 73 K5 "Rust Free" tub and a detailed frame i just brought home from phx this march....plus my gm parts man in town has finally caved after me baggering him for 4 years and i made a deal for his 78 K5 2wd. So i'm not Just into chalets....the 79 is currently at ORD in carbondale co. getting some upgrades i don't have time to do myself since i work in the patch...and thats why the chalet has taken over the DD spot until the 79 is back and done.

Re: Here's how i want my 73 Blazer (pshopped)
I like them stock and original. I own (4) blazers. (3) of them are original right down to the original paint. I have a (72) 4x4, (72) 2wd, (76) Blazer Chalet 4x4 and a (80) 2wd. I could always use one more. It would be in good hands. I bought the Chalet in San Jose and drove it to NC. I bought the 72 4x4 in Gunnison CO and drove it back to NC. I lived in Lake County CA for 2 years. Not to far from SAC. I have family that live close to Yuba City. Might have to make another road trip.
