Factory Black Top?? SMOOTH??

Recently bought this 72 CST that has a factory black hard top on it. I have seen several original Black tops over the years and it seems to me they were smooth finished but am curious. Anyone with a factory original Black hard top--is is smooth or rough finished??

Re: Factory Black Top?? SMOOTH??

Factory tops, to my knowledge, were all textured. Is it possible it could have been refinished.

Re: Factory Black Top?? SMOOTH??

Well that's what I kind of thought. Apparently they were all textured and this one was sanded out---beautifully to boot!! Well guess I will clean it up and put it on the for sale board or e-bay. The hatch is typical crap but that would be relatively easy to replace but a nice smooth top~~~~~cool. Thanks guys for the replies~~~~huck
