Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
I posted a few more pics in the picture forum under the " Any pics of drag trucks?" thread. These are some that I took a few years ago when I had a different hood and a 377 in it.

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
Went to the street night races last night...Local TV news wanted my truck there to do a piece on. Had me racing a new ZO6 vette. The Vette went 12.5 and I went 11.3. Bad news is the converter swap didn't work out. The stall was at 6500 rpm and sliping on the top end. It is a 8" ATI converter. The tranny temp went to 270 degrees So the tranny has to come out to be freshened and the converter cut open and repaired/tightened.
Big 2 day points race coming in 2 weeks...so I have to get it all fixed by then, but I'm out of town next weekend, so It looks like a lot of late nights.

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
Jim , that sucks , seems like everyone has had some kind of converter problem this year , my buddy sent his in and it came back set up for a Ferd , so that cost him a week , you'd think that would be dang near impossible .
Last weekend was our big Nitro Bash , i raced in Super Street and made it to the semi's . Finished in the money , out of 22 cars . I was pumped , and the truck got lots of attention , lol. No racing this week end , time to go to the lake . Good luck on your thrashing . Later ................................... 409

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
71 Dragtruck I hate you had problems with the hotrod! Post some pics of the new additions.
We had 27 promods show up for 8 spots so they added a second 8 car field the #1 qualifier was Mike Neil at 4.01 eighth mile! I hated I didn't get to race but I'll have the new trailer ready by next weekend!

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
Here's a quick video of one of my runs from the weekend, not the best run I had but close. Glitches kept me out of the 10's this weekend, but I'll be back, did have a 1.59 60'. Only problem with the vid is that it's shot in wide screen and looks funny on here.

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
I got it unloaded from the trailer, I only have one seat in it right now and no carpet. I'll try to get some pics for you tonight, been slacking.

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
Here are a few pics, a bit dirty after a rain shower at the track and driving in the dusty pits. I have another seat and belts to go in and as soon as it gets here, black carpet with the matching back piece to cover where the tank use to be.

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
Found my time slips, best so far was the 11.02@120.25mph with a 1.59 60'. Oh and a -.078 light to go with.

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
That bar looks nice, 71! I do like those seats, also. I've kinda wondered how the Kirkeys compare to the cheaper Jaz seats like I'm running, weight-wise. They do look a heckuva lot nicer than the Jaz seats.

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
Thanks for the pics your trucks getting sweeter all the time and you haven't been slacking you have been racing! I haven't raced since Hunstville Super Chevy just a couple of test and tunes! I'm hoping to slow it down and run the 7.00 heads up class this weekend! I've been working on the new trailer like crazy! I'll try to post some pics of the new toy box!
Nxtruck The kirkeys sit much better than the basic ole plastic race seats that's what I had in my last race car!

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
I can run on motor only I need to get my 9 inch convertor fixed to be able to try the juice again. I still have tons of little stuff to do to the truck! I have got to get more weight off of it too!

Man I'd trade ya weights any day! I guess it's just a matter of what a guy's willing to cut off.

Re: Ran 11.44 @117.69mph
I want the truck to look pretty stock but weigh less than 3000lbs with my 200 in it! I would like to run high 5's in the eighth on the motor and low 5's on the nitrous!
