Which brand??
I have read a ton of posts on the different drops that are here on the forum. I am planning a 4/6 static drop on my 84 stepside. I am thinking that a drop spindle and spring setup in the front and a flip kit and c-notch in the rear will give me what I want. I might have to do the hangers or shackles to get the 6 inch drop in the rear. I am currently running 15's Centerlines and I don't want to have any interference with the spindles.
1. So which brand spindle and springs should i get? 2. I have seen different designs with the c-notches. Some are semi-circular and some are angular. Is there any advantage of one over the other? If so which brand is the best? I would like to bolt it up and then weld it up later as I don't have a welder easily accessible. I know what some will say.....bag it. I think that it would look good, but I don't want to mess with it right now. Plus, the parts that I am getting will hopefully still be able to be used if in the future I bag it.

Re: Which brand??
Get Belltech or McGaughyes (<not sure how you spell that). I have belltechs. The only thing you will be able to use when you bag it are the spindles. As far as the c-notches go, i wouldnt think it would matter the shape except the rectanguler one may have a little more room for clearance. If you could get your hands on a welder for a day then you could just take some 5" pipe, cut it in half, notch the frame, and weld it in. That would save you a few bucks. Good luck.
