Stock vehicle height?
I was flipping through the '69 sevice manual and couldn't find it. I searched the threads with no luck. Does anyone know just exactly what is stock vehicle height for '69 C-10 LWB? Where's it measure from?
Thanks.

Re: Stock vehicle height?
I can measure mine when I get home from the top of the wheel arch to the ground. My tires are close to stock size, so it should give you an idea. My springs might have some sag though.

Re: Stock vehicle height?
There is no standard. Different springs were available, as well as different options (engines, trannies, etc.) that make the front and rear weights (and therefore heights) of the trucks vary.

Re: Stock vehicle height?
No there are no measuremenrts on theEarly Classic site. LMC has some figures that are the same as 70heavyhalf posted. I believe those heights are standard 1/2 ton numbers.

Re: Stock vehicle height?
69 1/2 inches acording to GM. That is for a base model CS series truck. (That would be a 250/3 speed for engine/tranny combo.)
*edit* that is from the parking lot to the roof top. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 08-31-2006 at 05:12 PM. |
