hey brandon

Im still having trouble getting my shifter to engage all positions in the 2004R. You said a while back that I needed to lossen the nut on the shifter linkage and use more of the shifter rod. Well, I tried that. After making it longer it would no longer fully seat in the park position. Any other ideas?

Once you got it set in 1st gear tighten it up. Sounds like the shifter rod is having troubleand getting into a bind from being loose. See if that helps. Also see if someone can come help you. Have them shift while you see where it may be catching.

make sure there isnt any play in the linkage, that means the washers where the linkages come together and the also make sure the the plastic pivot peice is in there also. it should also have a spring on it. do al this before you try to adjust it.
