Brake woes
I checked briefly via search but no luck so I figured I would ask. My '73 Blazer I recently bought was pulling to the left during braking. While I was changing the fluids, filters, etc. I went ahead and installed new rotors and pads as well as cleaned and repacked the bearings. The passenger side pad was almost nonexistant and the rotor was grooved beyond belief. After I installed the new parts, bled the brakes and topped off the fluid it STILL pulls to the left during braking. I smelled a slight burning smell eminating from the right front wheel today and the wheel and center cap are really hot to the touch while the other side is not warm at all. Any ideas?
Im going to take the wheel off when I get home from work today and take a look.

It could be a bad brake hose (the rubber portion).

The piston in the brake caliper could be sticking. I had a 71 that had the same problem. I went ahead and put on 2 new calipers and fixed the problem.

Brake hose is probably expanding. Check the opposite side of the pull. Also the Caliper might be sticking however that is less likely.

My garage is full of the project '70 parts and by the time I get home daylight is gone so no chance to pull it off yet. A friend of mine from work who is mechanically inclined suggested a new caliper as well. Thanks for the input all!

Replace both Calipers. Odds are if you do just one side it will pull the opposite direction. Just my .02 but kinda like shoes by two at a time.
