while we're on youth, this was my dad's truck that made me fall in love with these trucks. He had it when I was about 12-13. Now that I look back on it, I should have tried to talk him into keeping it. Oh well.

Believe me, If my mom would let me, and i had the space, I would have way more than one truck. One of my friends parents offered me 3 chevy luvs today, all in various stages of disrepair, for $50 But my mom said no even before i could finish telling her about it. It sucks

Chevy_72, I have a 350 in the garage for it and i plan to keep it pretty stock. It is a custom camper so i dont wanna sacrifice the load cap. but one day i want a 67 short fleet, bagged, big blocked and lime green. Eventually i might sell it and bye a 67 but for now i love it!
BTW It is great to have other younger people on the board. |

hey thats cool i started when i was fourteen goofing around on grandpas old truck and my dad said that i would never get it running again then he bet me that if i could get it running well enough for inspection he would pay for the rest of the restoration and i could have the truck when i turned 16 and when i turned 16 my father handed me the keys to my 1965 chevrolet farmers special 3/4 short step(factory 4x4 and factory a/c) very rare truck and i was the 2nd owner. dont have it anymore moved overseas and had to sell it but i had a ford falcon with a 428 in it that i bought and built and then sold before i moved i got about $20000 a piece for each vehicle and am saving it for college and am currently driving and rebuilding a 1971 custom/20.
and for all the die hard chevy guys out there I dont buy names i buy vehicles

Some of us are lucky enough to have one of these trucks. It took me a long time to train my wife into thinking the ol' C-20 is a good investment.

Dark days for Chevy Trucks. Who the he## would name a truck Luv?!! Anyway, the Luv was a garbage compact pick-up. Front of it looked like a Japanese truck. There are a few enthusists out there in Luv. Some people like to take the pre-S10s and 'rod them out, but there is a reason you don't see any around anymore.
Just my .02

hey not to say im a "luv fan but i bought one for $75 dollars the other day, it was a 4x4 and i pulled the little bitty 4 banger out of it and i dropped a 306 split 6 in it that was tons or torque. cut the fender welles out and put open headers on it and cut holes in the hood and set straight pipes out of the top! then we cut out all the glass took out the seats and put two bucket seats in it. its a little 4 speed. and i **** you u not, i cant get the little thing stuck. ive been takin it deer hunting this week goin through creeks and old ponds and it just goes and goes boyz. it a rust buck on wheels or should I say "the camping rig". and i love it!

yeah, i love small crazy 4x4s. my four wheeling buddy has a bronco II with a mustang 5.0 in it. runs 38's with a 2 inch body lift and liberal fender cutting, it was in readers rides in four wheeler about a year ago.

no man im sorry i dont have any pics because i have never bought a scanner yet. ive yet to take pics of the truck and send them into a magazine to show my toy, but im running 33 12-50's on mine and they dig and catch and that little thing just jumps right out of any mud hole as light as it is. the 5 speed helps it to! but its black, well brown most of the time and it is so much fun basically an oversized fourwheeler with a body "lol". but im takin to a mud run in two weeks and try to win some money. so far ive spend $100 on it and its the most reliable off road rig i got!
