new issue of Truckin'
If you haven't seen the latest issue of Truckin...pick it up!
They have a real neat 74 stepside in there, a kick a$$ battery drop down box i am getting, and a SPAL fan install article. Is it me, or are the 73-87 trucks getting featured more and more lately?? -Jeff |

Yeah they are, they are becoming more and more popular because they are cheap to get ahold of nice looking and loads, and loads of them to choose from.

it's about time some 73-87's are being featured! i can finally get some ideas and see what other people are doing instead of all just 67-72's, although those are awesome too.. but i don't have one!

This one was in the April '02 issue.
Probably my favorite '73-'87, 396BB, 11:1 compression, sweet.

There is an article in there about the 73-87's making a comeback and they love it.

Maybe that the way it is at your school, or so but here i know for sure that the three nicest trucks that everyone talks about are an 83 SWB chevy, 86 SWB chevy, and mine, the others belong to two of my close friends. So wouldnt say people think they are ugly or want to sell them actually theres more people who want to buy them then sell them i would say. the only problem is finding one that isnt rusted through.

I am surprised to hear that people sell them off around you. There are a lot of 73-87 trucks around here, and I hardly ever see them for sale. Slonaker |

My truck is not all that great looking and thats probly why people think I want to sell it. I have been asked to sell my truck so many times. A few times at the gas station, two times someone walked up to my front door and asked me if I wanted to sell it. One guy even offered me cash on the spot (i cant remember how much but I said no then thought wow that was a good offer). It even happened at my sisters house once. I was just kickin it over there (she was out of town) and I was watching her house for her. Some guy driving by saw my truck out front and rang the doorbell. He also wanted to buy it. I like my truck and plan not to sell it for awhile. I would rather fix up this truck then pay the outragous car insurance and tags for newer cars (im 22 years old so they really stick it to me on car insurance).
I have an 83 c10 with minimum insurance. I have not been in any accidents and never gotten a traffic ticket. I have no criminal record of any sort. But they still choose to stick it to me on insurance. I have been told that when you turn 25 your insurance drops a grip.
