Perfect Stance - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was searching through this site and saw a picture of this truck. This is exactly the stance I am looking to achieve with my 70 GMC Shotrbox. Can anyone tell me what was done to achieve this stance? Wheel sizes? Tire sizes? Is the owner on this board? I would like some extra pics of the suspension.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It looks like it is on airride, w/ probably some dropped spindles, and a bit of a notch, but not a huge one. Also looks like I'd guess 20 inch wheels and I'm guessing by looks they might be some intro's. Just a guess on the wheels but I'm almost positive they are 20 inchers and I'm positive it's on air.

I "think" that is a forum members, but I don't know who.
I have to agree on everything except the wheels. I'm sure they are 20's but they are Eagle Alloy wheels.

Bagged with a c-notch will get you there. Depending on front wheel backspacing, you might be able to drive it at that height. -Chris

The wheels look the same but the trucks look different (different bumpers, mirrors, 67-68 nose). They could be the same trucks but a lot of work was done.

I really appreciate the comments and input from the community but I am really looking for some details. Tire sizes? Wheel sizes? Offsets? IFS? Suspension setup?

btw - nice photoshop work.

67Fleets:

RE7 bags front and rear. 2.5" spindles, CPP Notched rear, Suicide Doors bag brackets with the bottom cup cut to about 1", 20" wheels with 4.5" offset (I think) don't recall the tire size.

Wow, 5.25 seems like a lot. Looks good though and I would say that's about the same stance. My truck isn't that low yet, but will be when I upgrade to strong arms because I will cut about 2" off my cups as well.

Yep, that's a lot. Look how far they tuck in. This helps get you lower in the front without removing the fenderliners.

If you're going to upgrade to strong arms you won't need cups... right?

I am only using the uppers for now, so I will still need the lower cup. The only reason I am upgrading the uppers is the price difference between rebuilding my stock ones and relacing them is like $100. Nobody has the upper bal joints and bushings in stock, so I figured I would order from Porterbuilt and they come complete.

Also forgot to mention that 67Fleet has 2" blocks in the back as well (I recall 2" blocks anyway).

Smart move! Had I thought about it and done the research I'd probably have gone the same route. Unfortunately I didn't think about it... stock arms it is!

I get sad every time I see pics of my truck while it was still driveable. It sucks coming home from work every day and seeing it all disassembled.

I'm slowly making progress. Think I'm gonna order the KP step notch and still thinking about dropping the dough for Porterbuilt's dropmember.....

Dude, I haven't driven my truck in nearly 3 months. If the weather dries like it's supposed to, I could have it on the ground by Monday.
